Who We Are

Cheryl Frederick earned her master's and bachelor's degrees in computer engineering from the University of Central Florida, Orlando. Cheryl worked in private industry for 20 years as a software developer and technical manager for Lockheed Martin (formerly Martin Marietta), Nortel Networks, and Lucent Technologies. Cheryl's technical experience includes object-oriented design and development, Java, C++, telecommunications, real-time programming and multi-threaded systems.

Cheryl became interested in an educational career while participating as a mentor for engineering students through the Society of Women Engineers. She is driven to  share her engineering knowledge and celebrate a student's accomplishments. She is a strong advocate for online education as it offers an affordable and accessible path to educational goals.

Cheryl is currently a program coordinator for an online university and teaches information technology courses. In addition to teaching courses, she is regularly contracted to develop courses in programming, networking and security, and web development.

When not being a tech diva, Cheryl has a variety of recreational interests that include golf, motorcycles, or just hanging out at the beach.
